Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has appointed erudite scholar, Ms. Joy Akut as Vice-Chair of the Interim Management Committee of Kaura Local Government Area.
This is coming barely four weeks to the end of El-Rufai’s first term in office.
Mr. Samuel Aruwan, Senior Special Assistant to the governor made this disclosure in a statement on Friday evening.
According to him, “Joy Akut steps into this role from her previous position as a Special Adviser (Women and Youth Affairs) to Dr. Bege Katuka, the chairman of the Interim Management Committee of Kaura Local Government Council.
“Joy Akut studied Political Science and is a longstanding member of the APC. She has been outstanding in her commitment to the party, and is recognized for her hard work.” He said
According to him, “she has been active in the APC’s two successful general election campaigns in Kaduna State. Joy worked in the Women’s Directorate during the 2015 campaign and most recently served on the APC Kaduna State 2019 Campaign Council.”
