On Thursday, the New York rapper made the surprise announcement that he was launching his own record label called Badmind. “Proud to announce the launch of my new label #Badmind. Joey Badass currently releases music through Pro Era/Cinematic Music Group so it will be interesting to see how he goes from here, if he isn’t really retiring. Back in January, he shocked fans by hinting at retirement with the Instagram caption “My last album was my last album. I’m a CEO now.” The rapper’s last project was his sophomore album All-Amerikkkan Badass released in April of 2017.
