A Customs officer recognized as Hamisu Sani, has been killed by suspected smugglers after himself and one other colleague have been ambushed at Asero neighborhood in Abeokuta, Ogun State on Sunday January sixth.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Command, Abdullahi Maiwada, in an announcement launched on Monday Janaury seventh, mentioned the incident had occurred whereas the safety operatives have been on routine patrol in an try to safe smuggled rice into the state the place eight autos loaded with baggage of rice have been intercepted.
