Police reveal how Evans shot Younger Shall Develop Motors chairman

The Nigeria Police Drive has revealed how Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, popularly often called Kidnapper Evans shot Younger Shall Develop Motors chairman.

Evans is standing trial alongside Joseph Emeka, 29, Chiemeka Arinze, 39, and Udeme Upong, 43. They’re all going through a seven-count cost of homicide, tried homicide, conspiracy to commit kidnapping, try to kidnap, and sale and switch of firearms.

Testifying, Insp. Idowu Haruna, connected to the Inspector-Common of Police Intelligence Response Staff, mentioned that the chairman of Younger Shall Develop Motors, Chief Vincent Obianuju. was attacked by the accused on Third Avenue, Festac City, Lagos in 2013.

“They engaged the chief in a gun battle, and he was shot on his left arm,” NAN quoted him as saying.

“Also, one of his escorts, Cpl. Ngozi Chijioke and his driver, Mr Peter Nweke, were shot dead; three among the kidnappers were shot down by the police while others escaped.”

Haruna advised the court docket that the case was reported on the FESTAC Police Division and that two riffles have been recovered by the police whereas .

“Earlier, the third defendant, Arinze, surveyed and monitored the movement of the chairman,” the witness testified.

“But on the Aug. 27, 2017, the defendants never knew that the victim was with escort; that was how they met their waterloo.”

“It was found that Evans was the Chief of the gang and he ordered the kidnap of the sufferer.

“It was Evans that organised the firearms and ammunition used for the operation.”

He mentioned that Onwuamadike made a confessional assertion that he had been into the crime for a very long time.

“He has no other job, this is his means of livelihood,” he added.

The fourth accused, Upong, bought AK47 riffle to Onwuamadike with out figuring out he would to make use of it to kidnap the sufferer.
