1. She became the Minister of Petroleum Resources in Nigeria. The first female to hold that position.
2. She head a country delegation at the annual Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) conference in October 2010
3. She was also the first female Minister of Transportation.
4. She was the first woman to be appointed to the board of Shell Petroleum Development Company Nigeria.
