However, the real star of the encounter was Argentine forward Sergio ‘Kun’ Aguero, who notched five brilliant strikes while new record signing Kevin de Bruyne scored the other Citizens goal in the 6-1 rout.
The win takes Manchester City back to the top of the premier league log with 18 points, two points ahead of neighbours Manchester United who play Arsenal at the Emirates later today.
