[dropcap type=”1″]E[/dropcap]nugu Rangers head coach Imama Amapakabo hopes his team has put the past behind them after a rare 2-0 win against Wikki Tourists at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu on Wednesday.

Rangers are will looking to build on the positive result after poor performances previously, having now managed just two wins from their last 10 outings in all competitions.

And, Amapakabo expects a continuation of their improvements against Heartland in Owerri on Sunday.

“I believe the players have finally overcome the initial past shocks over the Federation Cup exit as well as the follow up poor results in the league,” Amapakabo told SuperSport.

“We are back to winning ways with the superb performance against Wikki Tourists.

“The hard fought victory will serve as confidence building and great motivation in our subsequent matches in the league especially the oriental clash at Heartland on Sunday in Owerri.

“We are quite positive to get something positive in the clash expected to be difficult considering the fact that the opponents lost the first fixture clash in Enugu.

“However, we are determined to profit maximally from the fresh air to further secure decent result that will help our rating on the league log.”
