Top officials in the United Arab Emirates have reaffirmed the strength of ties with the State of Kuwait by sending heartfelt congratulatory messages on the occasion of Kuwait’s National Day and Liberation Day, celebrated on 25 February 2026. The messages underscore the deep-rooted friendship, cooperation and unity between the two Gulf neighbours.

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan conveyed sincere congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, and the people of Kuwait. In his message, the President emphasised the enduring bilateral relations of mutual respect and shared progress, describing the ties between the UAE and Kuwait as rooted in a long history of cooperation and brotherhood.

Similarly, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, extended their congratulations to both the Kuwaiti Emir and Prime Minister H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. Their messages highlighted the growing brotherhood between the two nations and underscored shared aspirations for future cooperation and prosperity.

The celebrations mark the 65th anniversary of Kuwait’s National Day and its historical Liberation Day, occasions that reflect national pride and the resilience of the Kuwaiti people. The UAE’s leadership highlighted the importance of strengthening collaborative efforts in various fields including political, economic, cultural and educational sectors, further solidifying the strategic partnership.

In recent weeks, the UAE also commemorated its close bilateral relationship with Kuwait through nationwide festivities under the theme “UAE and Kuwait: Brothers Forever”. As part of this programme, cultural events, entertainment activities and showcases celebrating Kuwaiti heritage were held across the Emirates, reflecting a sustained commitment to friendship, shared values and mutual respect between the two countries’ peoples.

Overall, the congratulatory messages and joint celebrations highlight not only the importance of Kuwait’s national milestones but also the UAE’s continued affirmation of solidarity and brotherhood with Kuwait, reinforcing a foundation for ongoing collaboration and regional partnership.
