Neymar issued three-match ban by UEFA for outburst

Paris St Germain star player, Neymar has been issued a three-match suspense to take effect next season for his conduct during his side’s loss to Manchester United in a UCL game.

A foul mouth in reaction to a VAR inspired decision earn Nyemar the ban despite him not playing in both legs due to injury.

Shortly after the loss, the Brazilian took to social media:

“This is a disgrace, they put four people that know nothing about football in charge of looking at the replay for VAR.

“There is no penalty. How can it be a handball when it hits his back! Go f*** yourselves!”

His words earned him a ban with a statement from UEFA confirming the decision which will see Neymar miss half of PSG’s group-stage matches next season.

“The CEDB has decided to suspend the Paris Saint-Germain player Neymar Junior for three (3) UEFA competition matches for which he would be otherwise eligible, for insulting match officials.”
