33 Nigerians have been arrested by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) for peddling drugs in Kenya.
34 illegal immigrants were arrested by the detectives on Thursday for allegedly peddling drugs in Kasarani, Kenya.
They included 33 Nigerians and 1 Eritrean who were posing as students from the nearby United States International University (USIU) and Kenyatta University (KU).
Kasarani OCPD, Peter Kimani, said the suspects have been operating businesses around the institutions of higher learning with the intention of selling drugs.
Also arrested during the raid was the owner of a popular club behind the Thika Road Mall (TRM), who is accused of aiding the immigrants.
Police further indicated that the suspects had been terrorising residents as they were linked to a spate of robberies in the area.
