Both Tekashi and Shottie were part of the group that got arrested last November in a racketeering case. Tekashi was accused of being a member of the violent crew Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods that committed crimes like racketeering, conspiracy, and narcotics trafficking. In January, 69 had pleaded guilty to nine federal counts and did a cooperation deal in an attempt to secure a less severe sentence than the expected 47 years.

During Shottie’s plea on Thursday, he admitted to “using and possessing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence” and “discharging a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence,” according to the Manhattan U.S. Attorney’s Office, reports Vulture.

Shottie also recently called Tekashi’s former DJ Pvnch from jail where he spoke briefly on the situation. Visibly frustrated with the case, he said the rapper “snitched for no reason” and is an “ungrateful rat bastard.” From the call, he sounded like he was in good spirits and said that he was confident of coming home soon.
