Marcelo and Serie A giants Juventus have reportedly agreed terms for a move to sign Real Madrid the left-back.
The Brazilian has lost his place in the first team to Sergio Reguilon, an academy graduate and has struggled to make it to the first team. Marcelo has previously been linked with a move to Juventus.
La Stampa state that Juve have agreed terms over a move for Marcelo, who is very willing to leave Real to head to Turin, as he looks to reunite with former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.
Marcelo met recently with Madrid general director José Ángel Sánchez to voice his concerns over his lack of playing time and asked to be allowed to leave the club in the summer. Juventus have long been linked with a move for Marcelo, whose close friendship with Ronaldo should smooth the deal to take the Brazilian to Turin.
The report states that he has put pen to paper on a four-year deal worth around 12 million euros a season and his relations with Cristiano Ronaldo will speed up the deal in the summer.
As for Juventus though, it remains to be seen what happens with Alex Sandro, as he’ll surely have no interest in being a back-up option to Marcelo or fighting his compatriot for a starting berth next season and so that could be an exit the Turin giants consider before wrapping up a Marcelo deal.
