Alleged killer husband, Lekan Shonde, has been sentenced to death by hanging by the Lagos State High Court, for the 2015 killing his banker wife, Ronke.
Justice Josephine Oyefeso, today, found the dockworker guilty of the murder which occurred at about 8.30 p.m. on May 5, 2016, at their residence at No. 3, Tiemo Close, Egbeda.
The marriage, which was blessed with two children, aged six and four, was said to have been marred with domestic violence.
He accused Ronke of sleeping with one Kayode, the general manager of a publishing company.
After killing his wife, Lekan Shonde was alleged to have locked the door on the corpse and their two children before the incident was discovered by a housekeeper and later reported to the police.
Delivering the judgement on Friday, Justice Josephine Oyefeso sentenced Lekan to death based on the conviction that the convict killed his wife, Ronke.
