Real Madrid sacks manager, appoints Raul Gonzalez as replacement

Real Madrid team B manager, Alvaro Benito has been sacked and replaced by a legend of the club, Raul Gonzalez. He was sacked for making negative comments about some team A players on Radio and Television.

His replacement, Raul Gonzalez, is a Balloon d’Or winner and former captain of the senior team which led the club to UEFA champions league victories.

Benito lost his job over his criticism of the Team A players after they lost to Barcelona in the Copa Del Rey semi-final this week.

Benito who also serves as a football analyst on several radio and tv stations made the below comment after the game.

“Vinicius is a blessed irruption, has surprised us all. The problem (in the game against Barcelona) is that there are players like Casemiro who shouldn’t play a minute, and Kroos too.”

The above comment didn’t sit well with the management of Real Madrid who axed him despite him seeing the team B to second spot behind Atletico Madrid in the league table and with a game in hand.
