Middlesbrough midfielder, Mikel Obi has reacted to his side’s 1-0 away win over Blackburn in the Championship.
The Super Eagles captain was unveiled by the club in the January transfer window after a move from China.
The game saw Middlesbrough securing three points through a first-half goal from Britt Assombalonga.
Mikel Obi was brilliant all through 90 minutes of the game to the admiration of the fans who dubbed him Zidane of Africa.
Speaking after the game, Mikel Obi shared a video of two little girls thanking him. He wrote:
“Beyond adorable cute performance, thank you to these two little stars.
“So much love and support from our Boro fans for the team and myself #amazing.”
