The 21 Savage arrest by ICE authorities has certainly renewed the conversation around immigrants. The rapper was arrested earlier this week for living in the country under an expired visa.

Jay-Z has come out in support of the rapper and asked his lawyer Alex Spiro to assist in 21 Savage’s case. Jay-Z called the detention “an absolute travesty. His U visa petition has been pending for 4 years. In addition to being a successful recording artist, 21 deserves to be reunited with his children immediately.”
But there is an interesting development in the case being learned today that TMZ is reporting. The rapper was arrested on Sunday with a fully loaded gun that was found in his car. 21 Savage was reportedly in a red Dodge Challenger that cops say drove across the sidewalk in an attempt to get onto another street. That is when the cops pulled the car over and ATF agents who were also on scene, ordered the rapper to stop and throw the keys out of the window which he did. Cops then found a loaded glock in the glove box of the car which had an extended magazine. There was also a styrofoam cup containing an unknown substance.
The arrest was made by ICE but in the Police report, only DeKalb K-9 Unit, Vice Unit, Narcotics Unit, ATF, Georgia State Patrol and the DeKalb 90 Unit are mentioned without any mention of ICE.
The target of the original operation was actually another rapper, Young Nudy who was in a separate car driving alongside 21 Savage. Another person named Kalil Smith was also arrested, who was in the third car carrying a M4 rifle.
