Paul Pogba was ready to quit Manchester United because of his fall-out with Jose Mourinho, according to the player’s brother.
Pogba fell out of favour with Mourinho and was relegated to the bench for the final games of the Portuguese’s tenure.
However, the France midfielder has found his form under caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with six goals and five assists in eight Premier League games.
Asked if Pogba had considered leaving United because of Mourinho, his brother, Mathias, speaking to Telefoot, said: “Of course. It comes into your mind.
“But today he is where he is. He was under contract so he had to grit his teeth and keep working.”
