Manchester United caretaker manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has expressed his happiness at the news that forward, Anthony Martial has signed a new long-term deal.
This is as Martial had on Thursday signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until at least 2024.
The France international said he signed the five-year contract because he wanted to stay at the club for more years, describing United as a “family”.
The 23-year-old has established himself as a key player for the Old Trafford club.
Solskjaer told the club’s official website: “Anthony is one of those naturally gifted players that any coach would love to work with.
“For a young man, he has a good footballing brain which, when coupled with his exceptional talent, makes for a player with an exciting future ahead of him.
“This is the perfect club for Anthony to progress his development as a top-class forward and we are all delighted he has signed a long-term deal,” he said.
