Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation, has reacted to a statement from the presidency asking former President Olusegun Obasanjo to ‘Get well soon’ following his latest attack on President Muhammadu Buhari.
Obasanjo had on Sunday compared the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration to that of the Abacha era.
Reacting in a statement, presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu said: “The sixteen-page letter the former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, wrote to President Muhammadu Buhari and released this afternoon is the last push by desperate politicians who can’t handle the President politically and have resorted to subterfuge.
“Our first message to the former President is that he needs a good doctor for good treatment and to say to him, “Get well soon.”
Reacting to the presidency’s statement, Fani-Kayode, on his Twitter page, wrote: “Anyone that says OBJ needs to see a doctor and that he should “get well soon” is deluded”.
Making reference to Buhari’s slip during APC’s rally last week, the former minister said, “It is not Obasanjo that stumbles whenever he mounts the podium. It is not Obasanjo that dribbles when he talks. It is not Obasanjo that cannot control his bowels. It is not Obasanjo that needs to be spoonfed.”
