All is now set for the opening ceremony of the 19th Nationwide Sports activities Competition in Abuja.

President Muhammadu Buhari is slated to attend the opening ceremony on the Nationwide Stadium, Abuja. The president, who not too long ago arrived from Poland, could, nevertheless, be represented on the occasion.

Already, athletes and officers of the assorted states have began arriving for the ceremonial procession.

Whereas some performances are anticipated, no ‘A’ artiste is listed to carry out. The final Nationwide Sports activities Competition was held six years in the past.

The final time the Nationwide Sports activities Competition was held was in 2012 in Lagos State.

Kweku Tandoh, chairman of the Lagos State Sports activities Fee reiterated that Group Lagos is within the FCT to provide their best possible and symbolize the state proudly.

“We will be showcasing our ‘Made In Lagos’ talents in Abuja and by God’s grace, we are confident that we will do well,” the Lagos sports activities boss said.

Lagos State completed within the third place behind Delta State and Rivers State in 2012.
