Slimcase, born Oluwafemi Oladapo Oko-Eko, on August 21, 1985, grew up in Ikorodu, a spot on the fringes of life in Lagos state. He was schooled and raised by the streets, the place he honed his expertise as a comic. At first of his profession, music was a distant dream, one which he had by no means thought-about. He was a humorous man, who had designs to money in on that. And so he started, performing for pals, members of the family, and the odd social gathering. However music discovered him.
Slimcase stumbled upon the artwork by likelihood in 2011. His buddy, who he refers to as ‘Beat by Sars’, (to not be confused with Sarz on the beat’), was the primary particular person to ever report his vocals for a music in Akoka, in a dingy studio close to the celebrated College of Lagos (UNILAG).
“I loved his productions, and without voicing to the beats, I had the urge to be a musician. His beat was so banging, that I wanted to record on it,” he says
His buddy inspired him, selecting to inform him that “with this your style, you can just put something on the beat.” Slimcase began recording as a rapper, as a consequence of his early Hip-hop influences, the place he adopted information made by luminaries such as Eminem, Snoop Canine, 50 Cent and Dr Dre and others.
