When the doors of the club formerly known as Liquid Lounge on Ogundana Street, Allen Avenue, Ikeja, are thrown open on Friday, August 24th, it would signal the beginning of a new chapter in the nightlife of Lagos, the state otherwise known as the entertainment capital of Africa.
The once popular club originally owned by Lagos Hilton Hotel, now to be known as Liquid Lounge Plus and under a new management has been revitalised, remodelled with an exquisite sports bar, lounge and restaurant named Metro-Reverb Bar and Kitchen.
Its pre-existing features which set it apart in those days like the ample parking lot and water-tight security among others, which made the club the darling of fun lovers and revellers, have been re-jigged and reinforced.
In a statement signed by Otunba Femi Davies, a renowned media practitioner and chief operator of the club, he described the club as the new entertainment hub where everyone wants to now be.
“We are proud of the work we have done with Liquid Lounge Plus. And as a testimony, there’s no one that has been here that did not commend the renovation works and interior design carried out here. Many thanks to Hannax Consulting, an architectural and engineering consultancy firm, for the great work.
“We took our time to painstakingly put together a complete entertainment experience that gives more than just a dance club, for our clientele and we also have space for events.”
He said the club will now be a melting pot for elites and entertainers, and the corporate, cultured and cosmopolitan crowd.
Davies, who is also the publisher of the popular news website, metronewsng, disclosed that the club would be officially declared opened by the Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture in Lagos State, Mr. Steve Ayorinde, in line with the state’s pursuit to develop and promote tourism.
“We are happy to play host to the tourism commissioner and even happier we have his support in contributing our quota to making Lagos a one-stop state for pleasure and business,” Davies excitedly declared.
The event, which is powered by Martell, would feature star artistes like Small Doctor, Mr Real, top Nollywood Stars, DJ Consequence and several new raves to thrill guests all night.
Liquid Lounge Plus is located at Ajayi Street, Ogundana, off Allen Avenue, Ikeja, Lagos.
