During the Imo Day thanksgiving service over the weekend, Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha declared that the state would be embarking on a public Holiday from 19th December 2016 to 10th January 2017, amounting to a 25th Day Holiday for all workers in the state. 
This announcement was recieved with mixed reaction, as workers whose outstanding salaries and pensin are supposed to be settled this week may have to wait till next year before receiving it. Call put across the State chairman of the Workers Union to get the official reaction of the Union were unanwsered before going to press.
