The national body of the union on Tuesday directed members across the country to proceed on a warning strike with effect from Wednesday to press home their demands. Academic activities at the Kano University of Science and Technology (KUST), Wudil, remain paralysed following the one-week nationwide warning strike action declared by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
It was gathered that lecture halls and theatres in the university were devoid of the usual hustle and bustle in compliance with the ASUU directive.
The students of the institution have less than two weeks to write their second-semester examination.
Some of the students who spoke to newsmen insisted that staying back on campus would amount to a waste of resource, adding that if the strike continued, it would be a great setback for them.
