Private Transport Companies of Nigeria (APTCON) have urged stakeholders to explore every potential the sector has to offer for its growth and development, this was made know by the Private transport company owners.

Speaking on Sunday, Convener of the association Dr Henrietta Onwuegbuzie said its members would energise the sector with trillions in fresh investments to grow the nation’s GDP.

“It is our intention to mobilise and rally resources, both human and material, for the growth of the transport sector, which has been identified by experts as capable of further propelling Nigeria’s GDP,” she said.

Dr Onwuegbuzie noted that APTCON’s forum slated for today in Lagos will bring together stakeholders and address challenges facing operators with a view to aggregating solutions for profitability and sustainability.

She added: “We are keen on building capacity of our members to leverage new opportunities, improve services and operate sustainably, especially as the nation’s economy faces severe strains.”
