UNIJOS VC Attacked By Gunmen Killing Two

The VC escaped death by the clutches as the gunmen were unable who were said to have attacked the house at about 8:30pm on Wednesday, were however, unable to gain access into the premises.

Unknown gunmen attacked the new Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos, Prof. Sebastian Maimako, on Wednesday at his private residence in Eto Baba area of Jos North.

According to the report, the vice chancellor who assumed office last month, was out of the country as of the time of the attack.
However, two of the VC’s guards were not so lucky as they were killed by the gunmen. Maimako took over as the VC on June 22, succeeding Prof. Hayward Mafuyai.
