Victor Ume And The Alleged Arrest By The DSS On Thursday

Its has been reported that the Department of State Services, DSS, Thursday, has arrested Victor Ume after he was invited to the headquarters of DSS at Amawbia, in Awka, and that after about two hours, he was taken out of the office in a pick-up van en-route Abuja.

Though there has been a new report that he has been released but this has not been confirm by our correspondence, According to Ashiwaju he is expected to be back in Anambra today amidst celebration.

The arrest was triggered as a result of the petition by Senator Uche Ekwunife, former Governor Peter Obi and Uzu Awka, which accused Victor Ume of sponsoring the recent pro-Biafra activities of the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB and the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
