ALL CASES ON KOGI ELECTION DISMISSED BY COURT

All cases that was earlier brought foward due to the November 21 governorship election in Kogi state, was strucked out by the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.

[dropcap]F[/dropcap]ederal High Court had no jurisdiction to entertain all the reliefs sought by the various parties, this was made known by Justice Gabriel Kolawole, who delivered judgment.

Mr. Kolawole said the court affirms that INEC has the power to conduct the November 21 election and the supplementary one to hold on Saturday.

According to him, passing judgment on the reliefs would mean usurping the powers of the governorship election tribunal that would be constituted by the President of the Court of Appeal after the supplementary election fixed for Saturday has been held.
