Former President Olusegun Obasanjo Made a lucky escape and was able to survive a road mishap along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. Report said, he was travelling to Lagos State to attend the 80th birthday of business mogul, Sir Kesington Adebutu, when one of the rear tyres of his Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) burst.
[dropcap type=”3″]A[/dropcap]n eyewitness told Sunday Telegraph that the mishap occurred few metres away from the Sagamu- Interchange along the highway. Obasanjo was said to have alighted from his vehicle to join another one in his convoy, after which he headed straight to Lagos.
This happened shortly a church service was held in honour of his late wife, Chief (Mrs) Stella Obasanjo, in Abeokuta.
He later attended a thanksgiving service at the Methodist Church of the Holy Trinity, Tinubu, Lagos to mark Adebutu’s 80th birthday. Sunday Telegraph learnt that the former president has since travelled out of the country.
