Wilfred Ndidi was contacted by Nigeria U-23 coach Samson Siasia to be part of next month’s Rio Olympics qualifier in Senegal.
Ndidi, who will be 19 in December, has already featured for Nigeria at U17 and U23 levels.
He disclosed that Siasia met him when he came to watch the Super Eagles friendlies in Belgium and he is always honoured to play for his own country, saying Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have to first get my release from my club.”
