I was featured two times among Emerging designers to look out for 2014 and 2015. I also participated in the Game on reality show organized by Malta Guinness representing Team Fashion.

17.09couture is a top-notch brand launched November 2013 with the goal of revolutionizing the Nigeria fashion world. It has since then released 3 collections so far; a runway show included [Nigeria student fashion and design week 2014] .
Silver-Lining Lookbook, The story :
Our 4th collection – “silver-lining”is from the phrase/idiom Every cloud [dark rain cloud] has a Silver lining . Meaning every difficulty or setback that causes harm, also contains a potential for a beneficent outcome. By searching for any positive effects of any difficulty or confusing circumstances, we can begin time feel more inner peace in response to the situation , thus regain ability to solve it if we can , or accept it if we can’t
The word silver lining – It is that hopeful or comforting prospect in the midst of difficulty or a gloomy situation.
I caught this inspiration few days I was evicted from the ‘Game on’ house. I had this thick dark cloud over me because I left too early and to top it without showing the audience what I’ve got when it comes to fashion. I left after the first episode which had nothing to do with fashion or fashion design. It was really very difficult for me to handle because I auditioned for the show to publicized me and let audience know the brand.
But then there came a silverlining, an iota of hope. The piece (wedding gown) I sketched while I was in the house. I said to myself I’m going to release a collection that supersedes all my previous work, I channelled all my energy into sketching which got me out of it and then make the Silver-lining lookbook. While sketching this collection, what I had in mind is something that will bring people out of their gloomy state and radiate hope; something to live for.
And I believe wearing these outfit, you feel confident with yourself and believe your tomorrowwill be alright!!
