Captain of Kwara United FC of Ilorin, Sheriff Jimoh has vowed that his team will fight till the end to ensure they retain their Glo Premier League status.

The Kwara United’s skipper who was reacted to his team’s 1-2 loss to Sunshine Stars of Akure on Saturday in Ilorin said the result has not signaled the end of their season.

Sunshine Stars duo of Dayo Ojo and Emmanuel Sunday scored within five minutes in the 48th and 52nd minutes to cancel out Dare Ojo’s 17th minute strike from out the 18 yard box.

“We are not going to be relegated at the end of the season”

“We are determined to maintain our status in the league and we will fight till the end”

“We are doing better on the pitch than the result we are getting but we will sort it out”

“We want more from our fans, no matter what is happening on the pitch they must always get behind us”

“I belief in the ability of my teammates to deliver and we will do it for our fans”

“There is still 24 points left before the end of the season so we can do it” Jimoh said.

The match day 30 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) result dealt a serious blow to Kwara United’s hope of survival.

The Ilorin based side will now travel to Enugu for match day 31 against Rangers International on Sunday, Sept. 27.
