The 33-year-old star worked with Nike CEO, Mark Parker, to design the range and announced the new collaboration to her fans via her Instagram handle.
As for what we can expect from the collection, the Nike Air Max 1 Ultra, Nike Roshe LD-1000 and the NikeCourt Flare are all going to be featured as well as Serena’s favourite affirmation – “You are strong, powerful , and …beautiful.“
In recent times Serena has been in the news for dating rapper, Drake and hitting back at body shamers for her “full” physique. Speaking to Good Morning America she addressed how she felt about the comments saying – “It’s me and I love me, and I learned to love me and I’ve been like this my whole life, and I embrace me, and I love how I look.” “I love that I’m a full woman and I am strong, and I’m powerful, and I’m beautiful at the same time, and there’s nothing wrong like that. It’s so important to look at the positives, if I get caught up looking at the negatives it can really bring you down.“
