There’s nothing as exciting, empowering and encouraging as getting support from your hometown, especially when participating in competitions where the winner is determined by the highest number of votes received.
Two people that are lucky to have such support are season 15 Idols contestants, Luyolo Yiba and Micayla Oelofse.
According to Dispatch Live, the Michelle Ferth foundation has collaborated with the MEC of department of sport, recreation, arts & culture, Fezeka Bayeni to rally behind the two singers.
A motorcade has been put in place, from East London and King Williams Town, where they will be driving around and encouraging residents to vote for the two remaining Eastern Cape hopefuls.
Speaking to the publication, Michelle Ferth said the following:
“Many Eastern Cape musicians have taken part in the Idols competition but have never won because they didn’t receive enough votes. This campaign will encourage people to keep on voting as that is the only way we can make sure that Luyolo and Micayla make it into the top three.”
The top three Idols were announced last night, which are comprised of Sneziey, Luyolo and Micayla.
This is an exciting spot because it comes with some really cool perks; including a trip to New York City.
