Doctors from Brisbane Hospital unable to diagnose her strange condition. Miranda Licence, 24, forgot how to walk after waking up from a nap. Making matters stranger, she was still able to run and walk backwards. She was later diagnosed with functional neurological symptom disorder.
She is back to her regular routine of running, but says she sometimes chooses to walk instead – because walking makes her feel stronger. After seven weeks in hospital she was able to learn how to walk again.
