IPOB LEADER NNAMDI KANU REJECTED TO HAVE HIS HANDCUFF REMOVED AS HE FACE TRIAL TODAY

Leader of the IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu who is the Radio Biafra director stage a short drama on their way to the courtroom. On arrival at the Federal High Court Abuja for his ongoing trial, Nnamdi Kanu refused to come down from the van, which led the official to tip off his lawyer, Chuks Mouma, who after much persuasion was able to get Kanu to come down from the vehicle.

However he refused to have his handcuffs removed while being led to the courtroom.

The Department of State Services, DSS, had arraigned the embattled Director of Radio Biafra before Justice Ahmed Mohammed of the same court on a six-count charge of treasonable felony but the matter could not be continued following Kanu’s vote of no confidence on Mohammed.

Due to kanu’s vote of no confidence on the judge, the case was forwarded before Justice John Tsoho. Justice Tsoho in his ruling on January 29, denied Kanu bail on the ground that he was a threat to national security. The defence counsel, Mouma had on January 25, filed an application before the Tsoho-led court seeking for an adjournment on the consideration of bail.He consequently adjourned the matter till today, February 9, for commencement of trial.
