A major hotel in Burkina Faso is currently hit by terrorist who are said to be Islamic Gunmen in the capital state of Burkina Faso, Ouagadougou. The fighters burn cars outside and opened fire in the air to drive back crowds before security forces arrived, prompting an intense exchange of gunfire.

The gunmen claimed a lot of lives at a restaurant in Burkina Faso’s capital Ouagadougou opposite a four-star hotel where the assailants are holed up, a restaurant staff member told AFP.

Earlier, gunshots and explosions were on Friday heard coming from one of Ouagadougou’s main hotels, according to an AFP journalist who saw three men firing at the scene.

Reached by telephone, the employee of the Capuccino restaurant was unable to give an exact toll.
