Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman have been recaptured yesterday by Mexican authorities, six months after the fugitive drug lord break out of prison.

Extensive operations have been carried out by Mexican marines in the northwestern states of Sinaloa and Durango in search of the since the 58-year-old drug lord’s spectacular July 11 escape.
[dropcap type=”1″]P[/dropcap]resident Enrique Pena Nieto disclosed that he was arrested yesterday.
[quote_center]“Mission accomplished: We got him. I want to inform Mexicans that Joaquin Guzman Loera has been arrested,”[/quote_center] Pena Nieto wrote on Twitter.
This report was confirmed by the presidential spokesman, without further detail.
News of his arrest came shortly after the navy reported that five suspects were killed in a clash with marines in the Sinaloa city of Los Mochis, but it did not indicate whether it was related to Guzman.
