A 12-year-old girl was allegedly molested by a 60-year-old man who has been arrested by Ogun State Police Command. This happened in Abigi community located in Ogun Waterside Local Government Area of the State.

[quote_center]“The police operatives attached to Abigi Division of the Ogun State police command have arrested one Adewale Enoch, 60, for having unlawful carnal knowledge of a girl, 12, on 26th December at 1540hrs,” [/quote_center]he said.
He also confirmed this to journalists, said the suspect committed the crime on Saturday.
Mr. Adejobi added that the suspect’s act was reported to the police by the father of the victim and the police arrested the man.
“The police boss also appealed to parents and guardians to monitor their children or wards as all hands must be on deck to eradicate this criminal, barbaric and inhuman act in our society,” the police spokesman said.
He also revealed that the commissioner of police, Abdulmajid Ali, had directed that the case be transferred to the Department of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence, Eleweran, Abeokuta, for further Investigation and prosecution, as the command has credible evidence to arraign the suspect.
He said the commissioner vowed to leave no stone unturned in the fight against child abuse, gender violence and other social vices that can expose our children to moral dangers.
